Looking nice Rossco. Decent hook is really worth it I reckon. Bit jealous of the snow trip, but I wasn't up for it this time. Waiting for the photos

I was gonna get that type of hook but roadrunner talked me out of it, he reckoned they can fill up with mud and be a bitch to open... Probably not so much a problem when it's not on a winch truck though lol

I've had mine for 3 years, never cleaned and always full of mud and never had an issue opening it. They work well. It's a TJM one

Rossco/Nisshead, any idea what those hooks are worth? And are they 1/2"? I've got a 3/8 hook at the moment, came with my Runva, and is a pain to get both ends of a tree trunk protector on. After something a bit bigger, but every time I look at these style hooks, they are half the price of the winch!

Yeah looks like the same size as mine, I'll check later. Yeah went for the clevis pin type, rope fits in tightish but nice. Did have one of these hooks ages ago, noticed it did get a bit sticky at times, but with a litte maintenence & lube should be happy days. . .

Yeah cool, there's 2 links there from Roadrunner, a 3.25t and a 5.3t rated hook.
