I had the Patrol on stands before, cleaned, high pressure washed and gave it a good drenching with Ct18 underneath. Replaced air filter, cleaned MAF, took intercooler off and gave it a good clean and degrease as it was full of oil.
Rolled the winch rope out and gave that a nice clean as well. Time for a few coldies now...
Havent you got a catch can fitted ??

As suggested give it a good squirt and plenty of CRC or similar,
probably just mud under the brushes

Done all that john. Managed to get the charge light and sub tank light off but its only charging at no higher than 12.7v. Its should be around 13.8v shouldn't it?
The charge actually drops when it rev it.

Do you have or can you borrow Metrinch sockets? They cannot round off bolt heads.

If in doubt, soak the effer in everything you have! Then hit it with the blow torch. Lol! Finally came loose.

Almost finished my rear door table, can't wait to use it, just need some nutserts for the trim clip holes, and some bolts to suit and it should be sorted.
93 GQ wagon, RB30, extractors, 2 inch tough dog lift, 5 spd, A/T KO2 32's, steel winch bar, rated recovery points, red arc dual battery set up, rhino roof racks, UHF etc etc. Slow and steady might not win the race but it gets me there eventually...
