I worked out an easy way of getting the OEM hubs apart and back together. First shot I removed the small spring locking washer when the entire hub components were in the hub. Cleaned it up and had a hell of a time putting it all back together whilst trying to compress the large spring down and hold the top plate down. I needed four hands... I remove the other hub and turned it upside down, with the gears facing towards the bench and gave it a good tap and the entire locking section came out in one piece. So there was no need to pull it apart like I did...
I almost bought some AVM hubs but I don't like the idea of those small screws in the cap as last time two were jammed in so bad, I went through four torx bits before I gave up and just broke the thing off. Maybe if they had some never seize of the tapered section of the screw it would have been a different story...
Note. I had already removed the plate that makes these hubs auto a while ago, so now they are just full manual hubs...
Threw a couple of 30mm spacers in the front to temporarily give me back so e height I lost after the dual battery and winch went in and a 15mm set in the back. Found out my shock are kaput :-(
Cheers Rod

nice and bouncy ride is it, I have some 15mm spacers I want to fit as the OE ones are long gone
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
Yeah it wollows around a bit and generally has bugger all body control. It just crashes through bumps as opposed to trying to deal with them. Disappointing thing is, it's only done 52,000km. I can compress all 4 shocks with one hand simply by leaning in from outside the car and pushing it up...
Cheers Rod

Had to fix my trailer plug, as I nearly ripped to off the last time we were at Wombat.
And fixed my Stebel air horn, it seems something was stuck internally.
Blew it out with compressed air and gently tapping at it.

The RTC damper is only masking the problems, not fixing it. The wobbles will come back when the problem area wears more
I think the problem was with my draglink to be honest. It was the original one, I could move it all around by hand and the bushes had a visible 3-5mm of play when turning the wheels.
