    Not today but last week,
Drove it on a quick trip to visit Broken Hill, Menindee Lakes and Mungo National Park. Nice week away and had a great time.
    Cheers

I finally got around to finding some new bonnet adjusters, two minute job to fit and adjust, followed by a very happy highway run, where for the first time since owning it, my bonnet wasn't dancing and jumping around! Also fitted a new grommet for the bonnet stay rod, so it doesn't feel like it will fall out when I pop the bonnet. Funny how little jobs sometimes produce such great improvements. I also tried to fit my ARB battery tray, but ran into a diff breather line, so that held that project up a bit, maybe tomorrow :-)

Still tracking down the Grinding- knocking noise in the front end. There was a slight top to bottom movement in the steering. I nipped up the bearing and the movement is gone, so the noise isn't the swivel bearings. I am now thinking it may be a worn spring seat insulator.

Got it home and realised I didn't do a good job. Lol

    Rebuilt the rear brake Calipers
    New Rear Discs and Pads
New Braided lines in the rear
Auto Service with oil and filters and tapped/fitted the trans temp sender

Have Front twin pots rebuilt ready to fit with new discs/pads so they are going in when I rebuild the swivel hubs/bearings in the next week or so (i.e when I get time), along with a new set of Koni shocks and HD lower arms

Unpacked and aired out the rooftop tent after the young bloke borrowed it last night, at least it was only the tent that was wet not like last time where everything was wet including the seats.

Got a bit further with the battery tray. Had to pull out the original diff breather metal line that ran into the guard and re routed it to a el cheap fuel filter on the firewall. Have to come up with a tidier solution later... Next I found the tray fouled on the Aircon pipe, so grinder out and tray is modified. Then had to paint it, so stalled again. Drilled the first two holes for the tray, next gotta check the clearance for the clamp, and drill the next two holes. Slow but steady is my excuse

Ok, bit more work by led work light, got the next two holes drilled, and painted all the holes so they won't rust, hopefully!
Checked the battery clamp, should clear everything, so sometime in the next few days, I'll go grab a battery, while I wait for the red arc solenoid kit to arrive.

Put new front and rear rotors on, plus extended braided lines. Since my existing pads were only six months old I though to still use them but the old discs have made them not flat and there is little pad actually touching the disc. And she don't stop too well...So now I need to fit new pads again. Also need to get new locking hubs. One of the Nissan hubs was seized and wouldn't turn. I manage to get it apart but stuffed if it will go back together. From my little searching these OEM hubs aren't made to come apart. I have made up a jig so I will have another crack tonight. If not, new hubs too$$$$$$$.
Edit : had a coupla beers and a glass of red and went back out and got the hub together.
