Good one Kallen. I always like my roof racks with mesh flooring so I can throw a load of timber up there too. I like the bit of chequer plate. It has come up a treat.
Between Patrols ATM. Had a beaut GU with 6.5 Chev TD. Next is a GU ute with a 4.5 litre Cummins conversion and a camper on the back.
The Mrs vacuumed and shampooed the carpet , leather conditioned the seats , while I looked at what 25 years of camping on the beaches , has done to the jayco running gear , while I'm removing the rust I'll give it a 50mm lift and a tire and wheel upgrade , Attachment 42263Attachment 42264Attachment 42265
Have you thought about chucking those drums for disc brakes while you are at it?

Yep just have to see how to mount the calipers , as its the inderpentant rubber suspension with shocks , and I don't want to damage the rubber in the axel welding on the brackets

Am thinking of doing that. Couple of old screen doors with alloy mesh..
But I need it this weekend with the awning to swag under.. So mesh will wait...
Fixed our odo and trip meter.
I expected to find a stripped gear or one that was loose on the shaft. Gears all looked good so I put the motor from our spare one into it and it all works again now
EDIT: Also took another 5ml of oil out of our fan clutch (originally put 40ml in, but have taken 10 out again now) and it isn't constantly locked up now, but it was too wet to test if it locks up when the temp gets high.

1989 GQ LWB Wagon, TB42 Petrol/LPG Auto. Bought Dec 2010
Brought myself a new carbie for the old girl will see if it sorts out the rough idling and massive fuel consumption that I'm rolling with. Should get it early next week
