I have hated the fact that the trailer socket was attached on the bottom of the bumper, where it was exposed to damage. I removed the useless recovery loop, made a stainless steel plate and repositioned the flat 7 pin trailer socket there, and wired in a round 7 pin socket next to it. So now the wiring is above the factory bumper. I will eventually hide the wiring in the bumper and make a stainless steel box to house the sockets.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Replaced the mechanical oil pressure gauge with an electrical unit. Was getting sick of the ticking noise that the mechanical gauge made. Stupid stethoscopic phenomenon.

fitted a complete new 2 1/2 inch exhaust system from extractors to tail pipe...all the big fellas as in Beaudesert etc couldnt put together a system for a petrol that was bolt together and send it to me up here.... ( I didnt think there would be that much of a difference ?? )...had to get the vehicle to them which wasnt possible....got onto a place called Right price exhausts in Brisbane and glad I did....they used redback components and pacemaker extractors , broke it down to 5 sections and flanged it all and with dot welds for orientation , mandrel bends (obviously because of redback).and sent it to me..went in perfectly and tucked up nicely above chassis line with the same configeration as the original....couldnt be happier...

I told him I was going to wrap the extractors for heat reasons and he said not to !...said it is better to coat than wrap because wrapping eventually destroys the extractors quite quickly....I have read here about other people wrapping their extractors....so can anyone enlighten me on what is right about the wrapping of them ??....cheers
