Drove to the city today to have a beautiful lunch for my birthday, so I found a car park that I could fit under which I could but just touched the height limit sign with the top of my roofrack. But once inside soon found out there was noway going any more forward so I had to reverse down two narrow steep ramps to get back out.
And I have no lift or tyres yet.
Shit I'm gonna be in trouble when I get them
I got the same problem when I have my HF radio aerial to the bull bar. From tip of aerial to ground is 3 metres. Its a PITA. I hate driving along streets with trees overhanging the road. I'm not paid enough to be a tree pruning serviice. lol - not.
Take care out there.

I like the lift and the new mud flaps top it off nicely got them from about time spares, good price and good service.

Proud former owner of a 1997 White GQ TD42 Patrol Cab Chassis with an after market turbo, now with over half a million k's and still going strong, that's had a heart transplant and now not owned by me
Happy with that or reckon it's shyte?
I get around 22-23 on average but that's LPG
16.93l per 100k's.
Just checked it on the next fuel stop and got 14.63l/100k's. A bit different style driving, bit less weight, no rain/wet roads to contend with, and, I slowed down a bit. lol

Around 14l/100km is about my TD42, turbo and stock IP.
Drained the winch oil, found out it contaminated with water. Two pin size holes on the top ally housing. Whacked some epoxy, filled up with new ATF and it seems to be running much lighter now..sweet!

I had an awesome morning with my 15yr son we fitted our new snorkel to our beloved Patrol,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Doesnt get any better than that people,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The look on my son's face said it all,,,,,, he got stressed when he realized we were about to cut substantial holes in the guard!
His "thumbs up" approval after the job was completed!
And there he stands ready for service yet again!

Since installing the RecArc Isolator and an CustomRockers control switch, I noticed that the RedArc wont light up the filament type bulb. (Maybe I should have listened when the RedArc manual says only LED's...) Mucking around in the shed tonight I came up with this LED replacement.
First Pic showing version one... no go. Should have looked closer when pulling apart, Resistor got in the road of the switch actuator.
Second Pic version two: Winner!
Slightly brighter than original, next two pics show with both upper and lower lights on, only upper light has been changed to LED. Might have to play with the resistor value to change the brightness.
