John Bennet used to put brass impellor on his water pumps.
That brass looks the ducks guts imo that'll shift some water,
does it have a better flow rate over OE.
John bennet pumps were all die grinded so that internal surface
was flat and smooth so there was no chance of cavitation, might be worth a try
Better than those press tin jobs

Bought a can of MAF sensor cleaner and cleaned the MAF. Had a bit of crap on it and I think it actually made a difference to performance. Taking numbers down now to see how fuel consumption has changed if at all but drives nice anyway.

Over the past few days I've:
Replaced the main seals on the engine, both front and rear.
Replaced the clutch
New handbrake shoes and second hand drum
Got some extractors and put them on.
Full service including replacing the gearbox oil, she sure needed it.
Washed her.

After changing the back two glow plugs I noticed my boost was down a bit, strange as I was no where near any boost lines.
So this morning off came the intercooler for a look, seems the nylon boost hose where it goes into the boost side of things has cracked where the brass olive is.
Not having a spare I drilled out the old one, works for now but brought a boost gauge adaptor so it sits under the OE boost sensor.
Boost nearly hit 30 with no limp but no gain in performance so backed it off to 18psi.
Not a spare I would normally carry [brass olive] so Ill change the way I get my boost as I dont want this the break out bush. pitb
Just a thought is you have boost issues with gauges fitted

Have just primed and coated black with spray can for now. Going to do a full re spray threw summer. Stay tuned. Lol
While it was apart I took to opportunity to line the roof with some "excess" sound deadening foam that I "over ordered" for the canopy. Wink wink.
I didn't however realise I had enough to do the whole roof. Lol
Doesn't look pretty but who cares when it's behind the roof lining.
Super stoked.
