How's the serenity
Six monthly service today , oil & filter , rotate tyres , grease , maf sensor clean , hook up the glow plug relay for the oncoming winter . 4b is going great .
The price of excellence is dicipline , the cost of mediocrity is dissapointment .

Not my patrol, my brother. GU 2.8. Pistons back in, sump on, head assembled, valves shimmed, head back on, injectors fitted, front seals replaced, timed and belt fitted.

Whimped out and got the Trident tyre mob to put new brake pads in and grease the slides because the brakes had started making a clunking noise a minute or two after parking. The mechanic showed me that there is still plenty of meat on the pads, but the rotors are just about toast. The D/S outer side of rotor is a couple of mm thinner than the inboard side. He put the old pads back in, so now I am saving for new rotors.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Drove out to Wattle Glen to look at a property. With the standard paper air filter in the motor is really asthmatic now. I'm amazed at the difference from the K & N to this. Definitely now time for the intake upgrade.
