Today I changed all body mount bushes.
It was a real porno show.

There should be a special kettle in the hell for an engineer, who designed a rear body bush mount place which placed between welded body panels.

It was the same as the GU rear mounts. Until I realised there is another two, hidden, mounts attached to a small cross member just above the rear diff, which were stopping me from raising the rear of the body up high enough.

Changed out the rear shocks. One was weeping oil so one in both in.
Keep the "good"one just in case......
Unfortunately they were just outside the 3 year warranty. Had done around 10,000ks some of which were pretty hard. Also at extreme flex the springs would just touch the shocks.

Heading up to the VHC this week, Erica, Woods Point and Kevington,. Happy Days

During the week I bought a pair of Ford XR8 seats to go in the Patrol, pulled the Nissan seats out today and the drivers rail is broken in half... Has anybody repaired these or should I just find a replacement?

Never heard of anyone repairing one before. Try a local wrecker, eBay or even fb there's always someone wrecking one.

They look super comfy Chrisso mate!
Be sure to cover them with some good canvas or sheepskin though, we nearly got pinned for not having paperwork on aftermarket bolt in Bommodore ones.
In regards welding the broken rail, have done tractor ones before but don’t think I’d trust my skills on a 100kmph car rail fixup :-)
