It definitely needs replacing eventually Mr Mark Mate, impossible to find anywhere in Australia ATM as far as we’ve all Team behind the scenes searched too. It’s a TB42S dizzy with TB45 gearing. Patrolapart are out of TB42S stock ones also and the best I tracked down from IMGroup changeover rebuilders in Melbourne is 2 weeks away.
IMHO there is only the slightest of bearing wobble, any sparky truck I ever owned in the old days wouldn’t have even spluttered with the right rotor at say 3mm clearance.
I am 99% sure this aftermarket bullshit counterweight concept was contributing as since filing it off and a fresh new cap we are thankfully spinning again without cartwheeling damage at all now
Huge sparks can form inside old dizzy’s and I’m suspect that this has caused overheating the Petronix but time will tell parts enroute
