At those temps, the air is usually very dry with little humidity left to precipitate. The air is very dense and thick and the stars at night are sharp - I can see so much better in the cold - maybe less refraction in the cold that is void of any moisture. High wind can blow stuff around already on the ground though.

Here in Kazakhstan the temps are below -40 always for many weeks; it never hit -50 yet for me here, but -48 arrived once; but it is really too cold for snow when it is like that.

Back in Canada where I am from the temps can get below -30, but not often; -5 to -15 is pretty common and it is here where there is a tonne of moisture in the air from the lake; when the air moves up and inland then it will dump like mad. Last year it looked like this:http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2014/02...n_4732139.html

    .

If below -22/-25 it will usually be clear sky, with no clouds and no snow. In fact, when camping out in the winter, we head out of the bush to the field and look up at the sky - if we see the clouds clearing then we chop more firewood - the temperature always falls when the clouds clear!

In Canada, where I am from, we will get more snow in one day than the Kazakh town where I am living now will get all winter (big picture for your viewing pleasure):

I put a new power steering belt on my machine; no one had size 775; I tried a 800: too big; I tried a 750, too small. I spent hours and hours going all over the town and one guy had one 775 in the bottom of a box in the back room. But only one.

So, I had to install and remove belts too many times. It is a PITA to replace given that, depending on the thickness of the belt, it is very hard to get it to squeeze under the belt mounts for the alternator. The 775 was too thick to be squeezed under so I had to loosen the bolts holding the fan clutch on to free up the belt wheels enough to 'convince' the belt to pass through.

Fitted in the relay plugs into the OEM Relay box next to the main battery. To use the five empty spaces that were in there, rather than having them in a separate relay box....Now to just wire them in after I find a decent battery terminal....

Nice work hodge - did you connect that up to a 3 way switch by any chance? I tried doing mine on the weekend, but couldn't find a good spot to hook up the reverse activation in the front without cutting up the loom ... Best advice I could find was the "yellow wire" but there were lots to choose from! Cheers
