Legendary
Finally have fitted the temp sensor to the banjo bolt on the GQ , lucked out my nephew had an 1/8 npt tap set and my brother drilled and tapped it for me .
Once I had the gauge working it was off for a test drive to see what temps mine sit at and on the flat about 80 up an incline pushing it about 91 which is also what I get when idling .
Getting the oil changed hopefully Wednesday but want to go for a run tomorrow from cold so I can compare the temps with 4th overdrive locked out .
Then when I've finished packing the camper for our corner country trip I'm going to see what the temps are with OD off and with OD on but 4th locked out .

I didn't do it, and it's not finished but getting a replacement turbo and fancy airbox done.
Finally found a bloke who knows his Nissans and lives near to us. There is a good bloke in Forster but that's a PITA to drop the car off etc.
So tomorrow I should have it back and hopefully running better.
I have known the turbo wasn't right for a couple of years but couldn't part with the coin. Now we are buying a caravan it is probably wise to get it fixed.
Cheers

A caravan, I must have missed something. Planning on comfort or an extended lap Macca?
