Many, many moons ago in my boy racer heyday it was often uneven Castor angles between the LH and RH suspension that caused a vehicle to pull one way or the other.
Toe in is used to stop twitchy steering over bumps or a vehicle trying to dart in to a corner
Incorrect toe should wear feathers across from the inside or outside edges of the tread
Camber is used to set up the correct angle of the tyre to the surface as the tyre deflects under cornering forces and should do sweet FA in a straight line if all else is OK (look at a V8 supercar for example)
Incorrect camber should wear evenly around the circumference of a tyre but more heavily from one side to the other across the tyre

Suspension work done, and the car is sitting level again, yay! The rear springs were really bad and simply didn't cope with the addition of all the gear I've added to the car. Driving home it was a completely different beast.
I've opted for medium duty springs to cater for the camper and losing up the car. As a result the rear of the car is riding a little higher... I like it .
I can't wait to get it on the tracks

I'm happy. Yes I spent more than was necessary, but at the moment I'm time poor and would really prefer spending the time I have on a track somewhere. There's also the case that the only place I talked to that had all the right answers this time was ARB.
This was a case of time verses money... Time won.
The young woman I talked to at TJM may have known what she was talking about, but I didn't get that feeling after our chat. It sounded like I was being given the same spiel they gave on the web site with no added information. The quoted price was no different so it's academic anyway.
The only alternative I would have had was to buy the kit and do it myself, or find an independent specialist to do the work. A little difficult to find where I live as it turns out.

Thats not very true.
The nissan engineers designed the front suspension to a specific ride height and amount of travel. There was no regard for the consumer to install suspension lifts, get more articulation, different offset rims etc. It was designed with small tolerances, which really isnt good, but for standard form it functions as it should and quite well.
Suspension is about comprimise. A change in geometry (ie lift kit) can effect other characteristics. In a setup like the patrol with its low margin of error design Something like a basic 2 inch lift can upset things. This is why there are what seems to be many causes for the death wobbles.
