That looks like a great place. are you going there for a placement or are you Tim? if a placement i could not find any info on how long the placements are for?
I spent 2 years in Wewak as an AVA (Australian Volunteers Abroad) My placement was as the Provincial Maintenance Supervisor for the Education Department developing a sustainable maintenance strategy for the High School system in relation to Building maintenance. We renovated many classrooms of the 8 provincial High Schools and completed many worthwhile projects in the 2 years. When i left i had a team of 20 local Tradesmen working for me and had developed one of my leading tradesmen to step up and manage the project on my departure. I have fond memories of the Sepik. Tough place but an incredible life experience. I was 24 years old.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Me Tim.
yes, it is a beautiful country. Our project concept is non-aid based community development - which comes down to 'we'll help, but we won't do it for you'. We come and go a bit, and lay on a big trip every couple of years.
want to join us?
