i think this gq is tuned a bit rich, it does idle high, and my old gq with elec ignition used to get about 400 to the tank, im waiting for a auto elec kit to arrive and hopeully that will increase my fuel economy, otherwise might have to go to a gas specialist and get them to tune it
I got red dust in my veins.

with the way gas is creeping up in price could be a good idea to have it looked at
and i thought at times the quality of the gas at some sevos wasnt up to scratch
    seemed to burn quicker

even though i have only owned this gq for a month or so, i bought it off a mate and i know for the whole time hes had it its always got 300ks per tank. i dont think its the quality of the gas, rather it just needs a good tune. the fuel economy is a bit killer though lol

gidday mate ,i'm towing a 2 ton plus van with a non turbo 4.2 d dx ute ,stock standard, sit on 80/90 kph, average about 400 ks per main tank , head wind is worse, comparing notes with other caravan owners , this seems normal, only the newest v6 diesels seem to get around 13 l per 100 & some v8 td cruisers, you just have to face the facts , towing a van is expensive
