4X4 & Recovery in Papua New Guinea

    Hi All,

Thought i'd share my mornings events in photo form, this is in the Highlands of PNG on a project im working with, this soil is the worst mud I or im sure anyone has ever seen, its so thick and sticky, so it makes for a fun day. My workers never new what the thing on the fron of the car was untill recently, turns out its a 9500lb TJM winch , Now they want to use it everytime they can. Although one time it wasnt good enough as you can see and we needed the assistance of a Bull Dozer...

    Enjoy.

    Shaun...

p.s. I threw a photo in of 2 local tribesmen who may look happy in a photo, but trust me when they snap they know how to swing a machette...

Whats worse is the home made guns, but they don't bring them out untill shit absolutely hits the fan and they get real mad. Took me a while to figure out why all the return springs on the diesel engine injector pump governors kept going missing. Turns out the locals steal em to use as the trigger system on there home made rifles
