This one is for those interested in how a Common Rail Diesel operates. I can now see why there is so much trouble with the pumps when contaminated fuel gets into the system (My cousins vehicle had to be towed from near Exmouth to Carnarvon because the pump failed when contaminated fuel got into the system). 29000 psi is a very high pressure to maintain. I also didn't realise the fuel was injected multiple times on the power stroke.
