Jeffries' Tk. and White Timber Tk.- S Tas.

Went out to the above with my club-Trekka, yesterday. Not a lot of snow left, but the sticky stuff left behind was fun.

I first bought a pair of Thule 100kg. square section bars. Then bought a second hand, homemade, universal, shortie alloy rack made from 25mm. RHS. Had an aluminium welder cut and shut it to suit the Thule bars, then bolted it all together with coach bolts. Alloy chequerplate floor to come.

They are not far from where I live in New Norfolk. Tracks are in the Lachlan vicinity. Visitors should purchase a copy of "4WD tracks in Tasmania" by Chris Boden (widely available). Will tell you most of what you need to know for a successful visit to Tassie.

Did that a year or so ago with some friends in the HiLux

Personally I like the snow up Margate Plains though (and these were a real long time ago)
