My computer is a HP, should I try the HP restore first?
How much work is it to reinstall the drivers?

If you can do your own 4wd mechanicals, you'll find the reinstall easy. When it's over you'll wonder what you were worried about.

Black screen of death help me!!!
I leave my computer on 24/7 but we had a black out today. Just got home and it won't start. Goes through the usual start up but before windows start the screen just goes black but you can see the mouse cursor.
It wants to do a disk scan, I press ok, same thing happens above.
Then I tried to boot in safe mode which works fine and then restarted computer in normal mode same problem as above but it says cannot open volume for direct access when I try to run a disk scan on start up.
If I try to start comp without running disk check same problem as the start.
My question is...help me please!!!
Second question...what can I do in safe mode to try and find and fix this problem. This poor old clunker has had a hard life!!!
