    Ah well, I've been fiddling with the scopemeter and have worked out 80% of the functions now. Having a bit of trouble with the chinese writing on one of the functions though. I' ll have to find a way to translate it.

    Assuming you can't type Chinese, you could use bable fish translater and type what you think it might be ie "focus" or whatever and get it translate from English to Chinese. Then see if the symbols match.

    I've tried that, it keeps saying: "Oops, something went wrong." I have found that the first character changes when pressing the ac/dc voltage button, so I am assuming it is just a chinese indication of it.

    Is microsoft security essentials part of the protection provided microsoft, or just another bunch of #@$$^^&&% that I have inadvertently allowed onto the computer?

    It is free from MS , I have used it on W7 for many years and it done it's job better than a lot of previous protection suites that I paid for ...

    I tried to open the GU manual I saved on a USB stick, and Windows Media Centre opened. It is happening everytime I try and read a pdf.

    What do setting do I change to read pdfs as normal?
