She looks to be an 81 or 82 MQ swb, with an SD33 NA 24v and she will have a 4 spd gearbox
I used to cart my kids around in one just like it, as long as it has seatbelts factory, I can't see a problem other than that the radiator is probably rotten.
Keep an eye out for a 5 speed box from an MK, they fit with just a bit of mucking around, I have done this and can help with info on fitting.

If it is the factory seats and seat belts I can't see a problem using a booster seat.
If you are using a capsule then you will need to get an anchor mount fitted.
I would have a good look around the seat mounting points and seat belt mounting points for rust.
Looks like it will be a good project.
