New problem.
Hi all again, well had trouble with low to no boost. well now I have finally fited a pyro gauge and boost gauge and 3' exaust. truck now boost to 15psi and seems to run ok and give me no trouble but when I tow my caravan my engine light comes on. came up with codes 0905 0807 0707. looked them up and yep don't make any sence to me. tows well and exaust reachers about 500 deg and will boost to 15psi under full load and then on flat road it sits on about 300 to 350 deg my exaust sensor is about 6 inchers after the turbo. apparently it makes a difference where you put the sensor. ok is this all good. Except the codes. Thanks again.

I'd say that is an electrical fault and not an engine performance fault?? The brake light sensor is too left field to be anything else. Who fitted the Pyro for you? where did they power it from? The rest is above me sorry, but should not be a very big deal, it needs to be sorted though.
Take confidence though that your gauges are protecting you with the info you need. Get the wiring checked though.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Thanks a heap for that info, i also was told today that it could be an injector problem. I will have a look at the electrical side on sunday and see what I can find. Thanks all and I will let all know what I find. next weekend maybe injector replacement. can't wait. ha ha ha

I'd go along with mudrunnertd, I think it's electrical and not injector.
Your temps and boost seem ok. altho I would like to see the sensor closer to the turbo and things may then alter. This is my opinion.
Cheers, the ferret.

hi all,Had a bit off a look at all the blugs and wiring and sprayed them all with electrical cleanner and no diferance, but did notice that now the actuator on the turbo is open at all time. It has vacume there all the time and of cause when i shut down motor it shuts. definetly electrical. will keep looking.

Could 0905 be causing 0707?
In other words ya boost pressure is too high ( stock is 12lb i think on a TD42, with intercooler, 6lb without IC ) so that is causing the over boost fault which is in turn causing the injector pump problem cause the boost compensator is cranked right up?
Might be a idea to reset to factroy boost levels and see if they go away, as for te brake one...maybe that is a wiring glitch with ya trailer plug or the electric brake system if ya have one fitted??
Just my 2c worth,
Steve.

Thanks for that Steve. will look at trailer plug too. I'm going to disconect every thing one by one that was put on after new moter and hope this doe's the trick. Other than that taking the bulb out off engine light looks good to. ha ha ha. Kidding.
