Good luck with it,and great that youve assistance with the building of it
The good thing is everything forward of the front doors, are the same in SWB/ute/wagon
So parts shouldnt be a problem
The rear canopy side windows and rubbers are usually shot, at this stage in its life
But complete canopies can be had fairly cheap on evilbay
The rear lower tailgate is the same as wagons, so that helps with a replacement
The rear top tailgate window are only for SWB

Sit back with an ale or two or 4
Write a list of ALL the things that you think need replacing
Then look again a week later, make sure your on the right track
Dont throw anything out no matter how stuffed it is till the replacement is sourced, sometimes that bit ya throw could have that , screw, bolt, nut whatever that the replacement doesnt
Tim,is on the money re spending twice
Alot of the smaller parts postage costs anywhere in australia isnt to bad to your door
The larger parts, best to buy local to yourself
Tim,should be good for the smaller stuff
But larger gear ive a few MQ/MK parts contacts living in the gippsland area in VIC, that could help

If you are after some factory steel flares let me know, as My chum(MQ MAD) above, LOL, had a mate after some but his mate let us both down.

Yeah been doing a little reserch on what to do with the flares, Im thinking steel factory flares at the moment, not that they seem to be readly avalible, (well thats looking on ebay any ways) and try chop out most of that rust in the rear gards.
Will have a talk to the hubby and see about bringing her home soon so we can get bussy on it, and will let you know if we may be needing those flares if we cant find any local as freight may be expencive.
    Cheers Michelle

The advantage of the factory flares are no additional holes required
The holes are already in the wheel arches/front guards, just some 10mm bolts a few washers and all done
Postage wont be too bad for flares probably around the $50-$60 full set to your door from QLD
    (Finly owner, ala Tim)

Alot of MQ/MK stuff doesnt get to evilbay , alot is sold amongst members in various forums

    Tim,
Yeah he stuffed us around, so he is on his own now
Ill drink his grog , but wont help him out re parts
