    GQ Auto box

    Hello just wondering has anyone had trouble with GQ Auto box not selecting Reverse?

    Haven't had it, but how old is the box? If you're having trouble, it could be the bands. How long since the last oil change also??

    when my Mav was auto it was doing that, it ended up being the clutch for the reverse gear was gone and went thru the auto which stuffed the auto, so really its the beginning of the end of the auto. if your trans oil has gunk in it start looking for a new box. and dont waste your money on a rebuild because $4000 can be spent on alot more important things

    I always learnt that Manual is better than auto in case of 4x4...!A/T is very painful!
