The thing is, driving is inherently dangerous too. People easily loose the perspective that even hitting head on to a stationary object at 60 klm/h, even the safest cars around you stand a good chance of being seriously injured.

I bought a recovery strap from Repco in Adelaide a couple of weeks back and it had no such warning or signage... Guess the Govt need to monitor that the compliances are being followed..

    Damper MUST be used
Only people directly involved to be in either vehicle
DO NOT CONNECT THE STRAP TO A TOWBALL
    etc etc

The Gov man requires that info to be with any and every strap sold in Oz, retail, online, Ebay doesn't matter.

Unfortunately you cannot advertise or legislate against negligence or stupidity

We all know drink driving is a no go.
Wear a seat belt is mandatory
how many kids do you see, still not wearing a helmet while riding a bike.
    but people still ignore this.

But this is what happens when we have such useless politicians.
Constant knee jerk reactions is just about all we get.
Usually never anything rock solid to prevent a repeat.
all the authorities do is advertise to try and reduce the likleyhood of it happening.
guess why, it's probably the cheap easy option and doesn't hurt votes.
    P.R rules the world.

How many farmers rolled their tractors before ROPS was made mandatory, why can't the same principals apply all the time.
