Control Arms Seized, unable to wheel align

Hi there, just had new tyres fitted to the GQ with a wheel alignment also. The shop said though the wheel alignment is 'better' now its still not perfect because the 'control arms' are seized. First of all control arms are rear and only front alignment can be adjusted so what he talking about here you reckon and would he be talking about uppers or lowers? He had an accent so it was really hard to understand him... Cheers

Far from a mechanic myself here old mate but thinking he could possibly ‘accent’ mean bushes on your GQ’s rear upper control & lower rear trailing arms, same same?
We’ve got GQ fixed rear solid axles so thinking that’s all it could be to tweak front to rear parallel…togetherness

I wonder then if he was implying that the bushes had collapsed and as such the diff had moved thereby preventing proper alignment between the front and back. Ive had a quick look and see no evidence of this but will need to jack it up and get underneath for a proper look. Maybe remove completely and check.....

The confusion comes from whether he's referring to the front or rear since typically, the front wheel alignment is what's adjusted. Given your vehicle, it's possible the mechanic meant the front control arms, which play a crucial role in aligning the wheels. Seized control arms can't adjust to the correct angles, leading to an imperfect alignment. It might be a good idea to ask for a more detailed explanation or get a second opinion from another mechanic.

Think you may have hit the nail on the head there. He's talking about Radius Arms !!!!

So if its the radius arms there can only be two things. The bushes where it bolts to under the diff housing, or the end bushes where it bolts to the chassis. More than likely the bushes under the diff, but while the arms are out change the end bushes also
