Help - what is my vehicle worth

    Good morning all,

Haven’t been here for a while, but hoping some can give me some idea of the value of my patrol.

Due to health reasons I’m probably going to sell my beloved patrol and caravan.

I’ve a 2005 GU IV Patrol Wagon 4.2td ST-S. I purchased this vehicle either late 2007 or early 2008 when it had 17,000 kms (approximately) on the clock. Currently has 281,764 kms on the clock.

    The Vehicle

    - 2005 GU IV Wagon
    - 4.2td (6 cylinder)
    - 3 inch exhaust
    - 281,764 kms
    - 5 speed manual
    - Safari snorkel
    - Clearview side mirrors (originals are boxed away)
    - twin LED lights on rear with on/off switch inside rear door
    - Clarion NX606AU double-din radio
    - 2 inch (50mm) lift
    - GVM upgrade (GVM 3505 kgs) 06/2022
    - Airbagman Airbags (replaced 6 mths ago)
    - Genuine Nissan winch bar (no winch)
    - Raslarr rear steel bar with twin jerrycan holder and swing away spare wheel carrier
    - ORS (Offroad Systems) twin drawers
    - UHF radio & aerial
    - ARB smart solenoid
    - Dual Batteries
    - Dual battery charge monitor inside rear small door
    - 12 pin trailer plug
    - Anderson plug/trailer battery charging

    G’day Shakey55 Mate,

Sorry to hear about your health issues, hope all can be resolved quick smart for a best outcome Brother

I’ll start the discussion here with my ‘guesstimates only’ at say a minimum $35k AUD.

My reasons being, you have a very low km, almost at the tail end of manufacture TD42Ti engine that if compression tested still well within OEM specifications could alone fetch half of the said base price above.

The TD42T & i (OEM intercooler) wagon models along with I believe only say one TB48 Petrol variant were placarded as legal 3.5T very sort after towing tugs versus all other Patrol wagons at 2.5T ish.

You’ve also gone the extra mile (big dollars now) of previously increasing your wagons GVM by nearly 500kg, albeit not a GCM towing increase but truly needed for any Landcruiser or Patrol too.

I would need my glasses as I’m on a little phone screen but the rest of the beast looks almost immaculate bar a few good old Nissan anti adhering standard paint flakes.

Best of Luck Brother, A TOP Truck

    Thanks MB for your opinion.

Well it’ll be on the market shortly, for what is probably going to be a reasonable price, so if you know anyone who is looking for one, tell them to get in touch.

    Cheers and all stay safe
