Blower motor resistor failed Y61 2003

Hi all, the blower resistor has failed. I looked for a replacement but nothing available in the UK which is specific to my Y61, there are plenty which look the same but with different codes on them. So what I was wondering is- is it possible that Nissan would use the same part on different models as a common part but identify them differently but are essentially the same part.

Have a look at Patrolapart. They have one for the y61 https://patrolapart.com.au/product/h...-patrol-gu-y61

See if it looks same. I do know that the Y60 has a different unit.

Hi Eatmyshortz, no it's not the same. The one from mine has 5 fins with a white plastic to where the cable connector clips in. Of the ones available on ebay they have a list of vehicles that it matches, X Trail, Pathfinder and Qashqai but not the Patrol. So I'm wondering why it wouldn't do the job, could it be that the fan speeds would be different?

Don't know, sorry. Hopefully someone with your model can give you a reply.

You must have rear air con.

Put your VIN into this and you will find the part number you require.

Thanks Mudski, I've done as suggested, the vehicle identity is correct but I can't find the part I need.
