Need Some Help Identifiying What This Is

    Hey Everyone.

After a little bit of help trying to identify what this is.

I have been having a spark issue with my TB42S in my GQ

after chasing all the wiring in the ignition right through to the coil and Dizzy and replacing basically everything and the car still not wanting to fire i noticed that the picture below was the main problem this whole time.
but i have no idea what it is or what it does

so I'm wondering if i need it or can it be bypassed as this is the Earth wire that runs from the Ballast resistor to the ground on the engine block which completes the Ground circuit for the coil to the dizzy by the looks of it after i followed the wiring.

    thanks in advance.

Ignition condensor or radio noise suppressor.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Basically its just a capacitor. Should be cheap to buy.

It's a capacitor. Take it out and check it with a multimeter. They can fail and go short circuit. If it is across your ignition it will be shunting the power to the coil to earth instead.

    Have a look at this.

This is an open circuit capacitor. A short circuit capacitor would just kill the spark.
