    Can I drill here

So I finally made a start on the battery terminals. I was able to take off the negative terminal and make it fit to the new terminal block. The positive that is circled is part of the wiring loom and will be not come of the car. I want to cut along the dotted line and drill where the green dot is. Can I hit it with a angle grinder and drill without blowing everything up..

with the negative disconnected i'd do it with a hacksaw, or even a pair of av-shear/tinsnips.
copper will gall in a grind disc and there's too much potential to slip or grab with a grinder and do damage.

I cut my terminal connector and fitted a projecta fused terminal. The one you highlighted is the cable on the right in my photo.

I think I cut mine with a cordless grinder, but it's not simple because of the short cable length.
Because mine had a bit of overhang I think I might have left the positive connected and cut it in place, but I definitely removed the negative cable from the battery.

I did the negative with the grinder in a vice. While it's off I think I'll drill the new hole while connected and see how I go holding it up and using a slitting disk..
