Clutch pedal bolt (the hard to get at one)

    Hey folks

Anyone know the size of the top bolt needed for a Y60 clutch pedal bracket?

    I'm thinking M8 x 20mm or thereabouts?

(It's the one you have to dismantle half the dash to install/get at...)

I wouldn't think its 20mm. More like 12 or 14. This pin runs through two bushes also, which are probably no longer there, or partially....

So, are you talking about the clutch bracket to firewall bolts? Or clutch pedal to clutch bracket? The last one has some plastic/nylon bushings as Mudski has mentioned. Let us know which one you are talking about and I can maybe help with a picture or some measurements as I have one such pedal in a box around here, no need to take the whole Dash. :-)

Thanks guys, should have said I'm doing an auto to manual conversion so I'm mounting a new clutch pedal where there's not been one previously but I forgot about that bolt until now!

It's the bolt that goes through the top of the pedal bracket itself and into a captive nut to secure the top of the bracket to the body of the truck.

    Hi mate.
I have checked here, and honestly, I could not figure out what bolt is that one. What holds the clutch pedal bracket assembly to the firewall are the 4 studs of the clutch vacuum booster, so from inside, what you have is just 4 nuts, none are captive (the studs are captive on the booster).

My car is LHD but I don't see a reason for this to be different.

    Hi bud

Thank's for looking, it's definitely there but the heater duct will be in the way (that's why you have to dismantle some of the dash to fit it).

It's a bolt that goes through the top of the clutch pedal bracket (above the pedal pivot point) and into a captive nut in the body.

Part 0811681647 on the diagram, there's one in the same spot on the brake pedal as well.

    FYI
As @Barrbeast has done, the proper way to measure a hex head bolt is:bolt.JPG
