    Vehicle painter for GQ patrol

    I am looking for a reliable lead to engage a quality painter to paint my GQ Patrol that has undergone a body chop . I have 3 painters lined up who have walked away or failed to front up to the job. I am looking for an immediate start. Let me know pls. The vehicle is currently located in Yarra Glen. If your recommendation is for a stand up guy, I am receptive. if he is a total loser and waste of oxygen please keep his name to himself. I am not desperate, but my money is on the line, so I want quality and performance.

    Definitely just run through with him what you need. He's been in the industry for about 20 years I believe, he will know how to help

    Hey Phil, i cant help you with a painter so i hope Niccos mate can sort you out. Have a chat to them about Valspar Paint. This is what i used after recomendations from Comp guys. Valspa is a very tough paint and an industrial coating. Note that you cant cut and polish it though, this is a bit of an issue as if you do scracth it you cant buff it out. My GQ is painted with it and i did not know this fact and not have a Satin finish car as i cut it to flatten some orange peel.

    Matty has painted his tool boxes on his work ute in it too. Ask the painter mate. Its well priced too.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Thanks Darren,

    I am looking to paint the vehicle in the same colour as I bought it, Metallic Charcoal, so suspect this wont be an option with the Velspar and also I dont need that level of protection, but good to know. The painter will be avail late April it seems, so will see where this ends up.

    Hi Phil,

    Upfront: my grandson is an apprentice here.

    In case you havent found anyone.

    I've seen their work from shell to finish and can highly recommend these guys, they are specialists and highly respected. Check out their site https://www.condersauto.com.au/ (they also have a Facebook page).

    Patrol would have to come to Ballarat so that may rule it out.

    Cheers

    Thanks Jack,

    appreciate the follow thru. The motor vehicle painters are thin on the ground for sure. I will see how the guy pans out circa April 20 and come back to you if there is a need to travel that far.

    No worries mate. You can get Valspar in any colour, it's just a tough paint, all other specs are as per any other paint. Your painter will guide you mate for sure. Can't wait to see it with some paint. Going to be epic mate

    OK, I will have a look at it especially if if a spray and set system, might be quicker - [painter will advise no doubt
