2022 NEW GU 2" lift issues (PLEASE HELP)
I have lifted my new GU Y61 PATROL with a 2" IRONMAN LIFT. I have noticed 2 issues, and I want to have confirmation from experts if the following issues are ok or not?
1- I hear sounds coming while driving after the lift especially at speed between 100 - 120 KPH.
2- Front propeller shaft (transfer case side) has been spitting grease.
Regarding issue #1 I have installed gearbox spacers (1 peice each side) hoping the sound will go or decrease but I did not notice a big difference.
What do I need to do if the above issues is real problems.
Vehicle only has 2500km's. Drive straight and firm with no issues. Cornering is good with no issues at all. Wheel alignment done.
I am frustrated because my lift is only 2" lift!
Thank you

Hi Aziz.
Regarding the propeller shaft spitting grease, the only thing that holds the grease from flying all over is the rubber boot on the splined part of the shaft. Everytime I grease mine, the excess is slinged all over at the first ride. But that is the excess only, there is still grease on the spline.
I can't comment on the noise issue because I have never seen such gearbox spacers, not sure why they are for.
BTW, is yours the white with silver roof or black with golden roof? I think both looks awesome.

This where the grease is spitting. The slip yolk. Is this OK or do I need a spacer from the front propeller shaft? Say...25mm? I don't if I do because some websites only for big lifts but in the part description it is mentioned for 2"+

I wouldn't bother with a propeller shaft spacer.
Beautiful Patrol you have there.

Hi Aziz, What sounds are you hearing at 100 - 120?
As Brazilian Y60 mentioned, only excess grease mate spitting out..

Yeah grease is fine and as mentioned it just chicking out thr excess.
I'm surprised you have fitted gearbox spacers for a 2 in lift? Not sure why you have done this?
Check the uni at both ends of your rear drive shaft are aligned in parallel, if they are out of alignment it will be horrible. An easy miss and an easy fix.
Check your driveshaft angles. You want both ends to have matching angles, the spacers may be affecting this.
Sorry have not read the rest of the thread.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
