I am assembling a tb42 engine but didn't pull it apart does anyone have a cam timing diagram the new chain i have has one shiny link but the old chain has none to compare

Download the workshop manuals and look at page 2A-11. It shows how to align the bright links to the dots marked on the Camshaft sprocket and the crankshaft sprocket.
