Swap ZD30 for QD32 what electricals need changing

Hi I have ordered a new long QD32 which I was planning replacing a TD27 in a Terrano but my sons IP has just gone on his ZD30 Navara , maybe it should go in there.
If all the mechanicals of engine swap can be dealt with and the injection pump is mechanical not electrical controled ,, is it a matter of running one wire from ign to the fuel cut off solenoid and disregard the rest, apart from oil pressure sensor and water temp.
Sorry I know this is a Patrol forum but I imagine Zd30 setups would be the same
    Thanks David

I'm sure it can be done. Cost-benefit and muck-around time though??
I'm not sure if they have the same bell-housing pattern? Engine mounts? Diff ratios?

Yeah bare minimum you need is fuel and air for a diesel engine to run.
Then there's all the sensors etc on a modern engine... which I would think is where the real headache comes in. MAF an O2, knock sensors etc And they probably need the engine-specific computer.
