high flow intake
Hi all,
Always been curious about this mod to tidy up the engine bay and hopefully help me feel better when listening to the turbo spooling up, my patrol is retuned (with towing in mind), 3" exhuasted, snorkel, egr deleted, fully welded intercooler.... is a high flow intake a worthy mod opposed to the standard stuff?

Are you talking about a high flow intake path (snorkel, filter, etc) or about a custom intake manifold?

When I had the old Di grenade my Patrol would limp and carry on at anything past 16psi. I then bought the HPD billet Hi flow air filter box lid and MAF housing. After that I had the max boost at 25psi and the thing flew. My boost gauge is 30psi, I had the boost wound out and off the gauge and it still went.

A replacement bit of kit between the air filter and turbo which also deletes the attenuator.
Thussly the HPD kit with the airbox lid, tbh.
