    Starting a 5.0L TB42E Conversion

    Probably picked the worst patrol to convert, tb42e and auto. Pulled the dash and seats out so i can remove all the uneeded wiring from the efi and auto. 2 days on it so far and still got a heap of wires to trace and potentially remove.

    Good luck mate. I know a couple of guys that have had this conversion and it was underwhelming. Consider an LS1 for the sake of doing the work. A far better option
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    How is it done? Just bore increase or do you use a different crankshaft?
    What are the expected power and torque figures?
    Aftermarket EFI computer I suppose?
