Advice on cleaning ZD30 injectors please

Hi, I have the injectors out at the moment and was wondering if i should clean the nozzels.
Looked closly at the end and I cant see any little holes at all.
Is it reletivly easy to put them in a vice [pointing upwards ] unscrew the nozzel [ remove with care ] and check and clean them.
Or, I noticed on Ebay new nozzels were $100 each , is that a better way to go.
Or give them a scrub and just put them back in. ??
    Thanks

    Don't quote me on this.
But I believe injector cleaning requires specific bench setup, tools and very precise measuring equipment. Something best left to properly setup diesel workshops.
(if you have these and have the know-how please disregard this comment).
Injectors (especially common rail ones I believe) are super fine and need a precise spray type, pressure etc...

Hodge is 100% correct. If you have to ask - you're not equipped to fuck with it. You -could- put them in an ultrasonic cleaner if you know how to use one and you -could- make a bench-tester with an old hydraulic bottle jack. But mostly: just don't.

That said, since you already have them out, what you'll want to do it pull the injector-mount (or "ZD30" as you call it) out of the vehicle and replace that with a Proper Engine

If you can find someone who does them on an exchange basis, that would be the way to go.
I've no idea what "ebay" injectors are like.
And I wouldn't "scrub" them. You can't see the hole, but it's there, and if you clog it with wire bristle or other shit, it's going to be worse than before.

Thanks, i will take on board what you all said,,,, theres been more than one time in my 67 yrs that ive said to myself. "That would have been fine if id left it alone"
That said what I intend to do is refit the injectors , but not down into the engine but sticking straight up. crank it over and observ the spray, if they are reasonable ill refit them , if they look bad ill get a specialist to service them.
    Thanks for the good advise.

That's not silly. And is reasonably safe on a direct-injection. (DI sees 1/5th the PSI that common rails use)
Just be very careful to keep yourself out of the way of the spray/nozzles as even a few thousand PSI will push diesel through your skin and into your bloodstream (google injection injury) which will really ruin you day.
    And safety specs/eye protection.

Also the usual sensibilities about having your assistant light your cigar or pipe well away from the work area, and not to make or break any electrical connections or otherwise cause sparks while there's atomised diesel about...
