So apparently I’ve been a member here for almost 10yrs and never posted. I came looking for wiring diagrams and component location diagrams as I’ve just bought a GQ wagon that was originally a TB but was converted to Silvertop TD with an AIT turbo kit.

I got it cheap I think but it came with some assembly required, previous owner sold the transfer case out of it as it had 80% reduction gears so I had to refit the stock transfer that was in the corner of his shed.
I also had to refit the injector pump. That was fun considering it had been left with the lines open and loose for 4+ years with a hole in the bonnet for a scoop that wasn’t fitted.

Once I got it reassembled I hot wired the glow plugs and hit the key and it fired right up. I’ve been driving it around the creek behind my house to get things moving and see what needs done for rego but right now my mission is tidy up all the engine bay wiring and delete the unused stuff, put the rest in loom tube and rewire the glow plugs. I believe I can use the electric choke circuit to switch the glow plug relay. My daily is an 04 GU with TD42ti so I don’t really want to run a dash button and would like to stick with a key triggered relay/timer.

Anyway that’s enough for now. I’d throw up a picture of the rig but can’t see how to at the moment, maybe it’s a post count thing. Maybe it’s a mobile version thing🤷*♂️
