Whistling Noise - Anyone Know What To Check
Can anyone identify this whistling noise, or where to start looking?
It's a friends car, I'm pretty confident it's not the Idler Arm Pulley. Maybe split EGR pipe, ideas?
Can't remember how to directly show the YouTube video so here is the Link

Funny this one Mr. Jack.
This to me doesn't sound "pressure" related like exhaust or boost escaping. It sounds too "quick" and "mechanical".
If it were exhaust or boost leaks, they would sound more gradual or built up and more "whistly". . This noise is "instant".
Definitely somewhere in the belt region I'd say.

Unfortunately I don’t have access to the car to check it myself, they sent me this video.
Thanks for the replies so far, gives them something to check.

Does it only do it when the engine is warm? If so it would be an exhaust leak of some sort I think.
