    Flasher relay for LED indicators

So I have replaced my front (corner) indicator bulbs and my bull bar indicators/parkers with LEDs and have also got my dummy tail lights wired up with LED bulbs (indicators, tail/brake light and reverse lights).
The factory bumper lights are still operating with incandescent bulbs.
Since adding the bull bar indicators, when indicating right they would flash at double speed. Left was fine and hazards fine too.

I bought a Tridon flasher relay today (non voltage sensitive version) and hooked it up to the correct positive, load and earth contacts.

Red to positive (+), green to load (L) and black to earth (P).

It worked, flashing at the correct speed, but I saw it glowing a little and it released a small amount of smoke.
Turning it off and disconnecting it, I saw that a small resistor looked like it had burnt.

I reconnected it and tested it again. It still worked and flashed at the correct speed, but did not glow or smoke - which is great, that's what I was really expecting the first time!

So my question is, has anyone else used one of these relays? Or a different kind?
I saw that Narva also make one.

I have reinstalled the factory flasher relay for the time being as I'm not 100% confident with the Tridon one after seeing it smoke.
    Thanks.

    Thanks @Hodge I hadn't thought of Jaycar.
I'll grab one from there tomorrow and try it out

That relay from Jaycar works perfectly.

Just so others are aware, it's a direct plug into the factory socket, no need to change any of the pin configurations.
B L E, battery, load, earth, are the same as the factory relay.

The Tridon HD13 unit that I tried first was labelled + L P, which is actually battery, load, and P is a low voltage output. So that would explain why it glowed and smoked when I connected to earth to the P terminal. It just shorted the resistor on that terminal.
And of course, I couldn't work that out from the information on the pack.

    I'm learning this stuff, slowly.

    Glad it worked out mate.
My very first led flasher was a eBay special . And it worked but it flashed slower than factory.
As I visit Jaycar regularly, thought I'd try theirs and it was perfect.
