Thread: td42 conversion tacho doesnt work

    Pre sure I figured out the calibration counts the dimples/holes on the camshaft gear being I BELIEVE 6 dimples/holes depending on ti or non to motor.

    Yeah doesn't blink until over 1k revs. My sensor doesn't output 1v ac until over 1k revs I'm going to assume that just means that my sensor is a touch dodgy but it seems to be fine when it's above 1k revs.
    If I run the diagnostics on the Dakota it just reads 0 input until it hits 1000 then reads it's at what I believe to he accurate.

    You said it was a silvertop so it shouldn't have the dimpled Ti cam gear.. unless someone swapped it over for some reason. See if you can borrow another tacho pickup just to compare.

    You said it was a silvertop so it shouldn't have the dimpled Ti cam gear.. unless someone swapped it over for some reason. See if you can borrow another tacho pickup just to compare.
    Otherwise, you might just have to learn to live with it. I never watch my tacho at idle anyway..

    Nah it's definitely a gq motor/gear l.
    Yeah looks like that might be the case.
    Just don't understand the reason behind not getting 1v at idle but so many others are.

    Appreciate your help none the less.
