    Patrol and cummins introduction

    G’day a new member just introducing myself I have a gq patrol with everything modified. I’ve just finished a conversion on the old girl swapping out the td42 to the cummins isde4.5.

    Very neat and uncluttered installation, well done. What clearance did you end up over the diff housing? Who's radiator are you using?

    I designed a new radiator and it was made by a mob in Melbourne.
    As the motor is short but very deep I modified the sump and the oil pick up line. This took several goes as it hit just about everything. I ended up restricting the up travel and installed hydraulic bump stops to stop the diff from punching into the sump.image.jpg

    Not an ideal amount of travel up but something had to give due to the depth of the motor.
