    Dual battery kit for 4.8

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a particular kit that will fit a 2002 4.8 Patrol. I have heard that not many places sell a kit for the 4.8, what is out there and what works well?

    Has yours got the ABS
I also looked into this but there didnt seem to be one on the market to suit ABS so I custom made my own Battery tray, Relocated the washer bottle near the ABS system and had a redarc system fitted
If you want pm me your email address and I can forward pics if you like

    Cheers

In the last edition of 4WD Action (No.166 ) there's a feature on a guy with a 4.8 GU. His engine bay was heaps busy so he put the 2nd battery in the rear cargo area. Its charged via a Projector dual battery system mounted under the bonnet with heavy duty battery cables running to the rear.
It supplies a 100Ah deep cycle battery and is secured in a wooden box.
I've got a 4.5 on gas so I can't mount a 2nd battery under the bonnet. This is what I'll be using - I priced it installed with the deep cycle battery at about $680 which I thought was OK

Thanks guys thats pretty much the conclusion that I have come to. Due to the ABS I will probably run an AGM/Gel battery in a compartment inside some rear storage drawers

Yep I have looked into that as well. Although going by some pictures on the net, you have to hack into the factory battery tray. Which I dont really want to do

Fitted mine in the cargo area. That is the best place for a 4.8 with ABS.
