    I know someone who has installed AU fans in his 4WD and he had lots of problems with blown fuses. On investigation - the fans drew over 30 amps each. He rewired the fans individually (so if one fails the other will still work) with 6mm wire and installed 2 X 50 amp circuit breakers and they are fine now.

    electric thermos are much better if you are going to do some decent water crossings. If youve ever seen somebody do one with a clutch fan that wont disengage it looks like a fountain has sprung out from under the bonnet and torque will suffer severly. Electric thermos can be switched for this reason. Clutch fans tend to be more reliable if water crossings are not goin to be a problem though.
