    Winch mounting

    Has anyone put the winch behind the passenger seat in a short GQ?

    I wonder how to attach it to the chassi there

    this is like a mid mount winch, fore and aft recovery etc?

    No, I haven't done it. I have a winch behind the passenger seat in my long wheel base GQ.

    A hand winch :-) Works well, but is slow. That said, I have had to ask enthusiastic helpers to slow down on the handle!!

    I intend to run the cable algonside the middle tunnel betwwen the seats and through the engine compartment.
    I'm wainting now for the winch to arrive (e-bay) and if there is enough space it will go where planned. If not I will have to stick to the classical mount place on the front bumper.

    In any case I will post pictures of the mounting process
