Be careful you don't get caught by the uthorities. Only vehicles pre 1970 areallowed flashing red lights as indicators. Otherwise they must fash amber.

Sorry, failed to mention I had the amber lense to fit, so I'll be OK.

Front springs, bushs and shackles are differant

My Mk has a internal regulator alternator - no external regulator or wiring.

I suspect the dashs are differant - my MK has a rev meter on the left
1991 GQ LWB 4.2 Carby dual fuel, 32 mud claws, 2 inch lift, LSD's front and back

And its Toooooooo High for the Ball & chain

Nah all them have tachos, and most are internal regs.

The dash clusters are different between models
    Namely ,
    From the left,
Nothin (as in a "Nissan" inscription,) a clock or a tacho, then the speedo then the 4 guages (temp, oil, volts, fuel)
This can depend on the option or the actual model,(povo pack or a deluxe)
Then theres the radio section , these are different between the MQ and the MK, but the povo pack MKs will have the MQ radio section
Then theres the different coloured guage needles, some white some orange

    More later
    This is not quite right.

Many MK's still had all 3 colour lenses.

It was only the Deluxe models with the factory flares/ wide wheel package and the spare wheel carrier mounted on the tailgate that had the two reds and the clear because there was a risk of the spare wheel blocking the view of the rear left indicator from some angles so the indicators were fitted into the Bumper.

You don't see too many around like this and I have been unable to buy replacement lenses for the top red.

    Cheers Ric

It was not only the Deluxe Models. It was also the sports models. And yes they are different models. So anyway try PanelHouse Slacks Creek.

I'm lucky (or unlucky some may say) that I'm stripping a MQ AND a MK. Using the parts of one to make the other better. Keeping the MQ and using the MK as a donor. I'm keeping the body of the MK but transplanting it onto the MQ chassis.
MK is Diesel and MQ is Petrol.
Any and all differences are being discovered. MQ MAD has asked me to post some pics here to assist those that wish to follow LOL
Most, if not all, know that the MQ and MK have different headlights.. I was surprised to find that apart from the headlights, the template behind the lights are different

ROUND HEADLIGHTS - obviously this is the MQ and the template is like this

SQUARE HEADLIGHTS - this is the MK. note the difference between the two, if you wish to swap lights over you'll have to play around with a welder etc
Whoever disagrees with the saying "Might is right" obviously doesn't own a MQ
