All 24 V MQ versions (or perhaps overseas versions) had factory left and right battery trays
The 12v L28 MQs have a drivers side battery tray, the 12V MKs have a passenger side battery tray

I read that MK SD33 have 12 volt electrics, but my 1986 SD33T has 24 volt electrics. It is Safari instead of Patrol, think it was built in Japan?

Safaris are different in the MQ/MK/GQ range
There still a patrol just different labels
Bit like commodores called chevs O/S

Beginner
My MK has only tail lights in the upper section of tail lights, the centre section is tail/stop but the top is single contact low wattage globe for tail light only. I have put in 21 watt globes cut the wire and linked it to the indicators.
