Thanks MQ, do appreciate your advice, I'd be up that creek smelling like a dunny otherwise lol

The ruond bulb from your MQ is called a "Sealed Beam" Headlight. The MK one is a " H4 Halogen BulB" Headlight.

These both types come in round and "square" headlights in all the common sizes.

Thanks for that Tim, I'm intending to retain the MKs head lights when I do the body swap as don't want to stuff around making mods to fit the round headlight. I'm assuming that all I'd have to do is change the bulb over from 24 to 12.

Will the mq front quarter panels fit on the mk. I know the mk has the extra supports running from the window forward does that stop the mq panels fitting?

Mk has rubber bushing for springs (as well as different type springs), while mq had steel greasable bushings. I had to change mine (87 ute) out to the steel ones as one of the front springs had broken on mine and dealer ordered the mq springs. They have different amount of springs according to the spec rather than the year i think, My ute had 3 springs per pack at the front, whereas i have seen a deluxe wagon with around 6 springs per front spring.

I have a 4spd mk l28 it was the last 4spd built before the switch too 5spds. Only about 4 months between the last 4spd and a 5spd upgrade on the mk, can get a little confusing.
